Product Overview
The 8G Shoe Box Light carries three wattage steps and three colour temperatures in one part number, so a single SKU covers 4,100 lm up to 6,500 lm.
What does the 8G Shoe Box actually put out?
Between 4,100 and 6,500 lumens, depending on which of the three wattage steps you select — 32W, 40W or 50W. That works out to roughly 130 lm/W across the range, so dropping the wattage to meet a dark-sky or energy code trims light, not efficiency. Colour is a selector position, not a separate part number: 4000K for warm residential-scale streetscapes, 5000K for the neutral parking-lot default, 6500K where maximum perceived brightness matters.
How do you set the wattage and colour temperature?
Selectors on the fixture, set before it goes up the pole. One picks the wattage step, the other the colour temperature. One SKU services a whole site — no mixed part numbers across a parking lot, and no stranded inventory when a layout or photometric plan changes late. The same fixture can be re-stepped on the ground if a commissioning walk finds a spot that needs more or less light.
Will it run on 347V?
Yes. The driver accepts AC 100-277V as standard, with a 347V option for Canadian street and area-lighting circuits, where 347V distribution is common and many imported fixtures stop at 277V. Power factor stays above 0.9 either way. It's the difference between spec'ing this shoe box and adding a transformer at the pole.
Where it fits, and where it doesn't
It's an outdoor area light: parking lots, driveways, walkways, building perimeters and signage areas, on a pole or a wall arm. The 120° beam spreads light across pavement rather than throwing it down a narrow corridor. It's not an interior fixture — for gymnasiums and warehouses use the UFO High Bay, and for wet indoor locations use the 5G Vapor.
